Location: Oswestry
Duration: 16 weeks
This new build project involved the redevelopment of a vacant brownfield site, for a McDonald’s with a drive-thru and large parking area.
The existing buildings and tarmac car park was demolished, and the site underwent significant groundworks, including excavation, the removal of finishes, and installation of new drainage systems and underground services.
The project focused on external groundworks and included tasks such as isolating existing services, creating formwork for foundations, installing storm and foul pipework, manholes, soakaways, and hydro brake tanks, and preparing areas for new paving, signage, and fencing.
The final stages involved the installation of the building via crane, followed by surface paving, landscaping, and final touches to ensure the site was fully ready for operation.
